Firefox でフォントを正しく表示したいです。

Linux Mint 18 MATE 64bit を使わさせて頂いております。

Firefox が、「Comic_Sans_MS_Bold.ttf」というフォントを使用したウェブページで、
当該フォントの部分が普通のアルファベットの太字フォントになって表示されてしまいます。

firefox、firefox-locale-en および firefox-locale-ja のバージョンは、
47.0+linuxmint1+sarah
です。

したことは、

sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer
sudo fc-cache -fv

です。

正しくインストールされたかどうかと、

「Web ページが指定したフォントを優先する」にチェックを入れました。

このフォントを表示するために、他にすることはありますでしょうか？

という結果が出て、以前と変わらず Firefox で表示されるべきフォントが、別の普通のフォントに代替されています。

試しに、Arch Linux や CentOS 7 で、同様に MS のフォントをインストールしたのですが、
即座に Firefox に反映され、正しいフォントが表示されました。

Ubuntu 16.04、Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon 64bit と Linux Mint 18 MATE 64bit では何度再インストールしても、
ダメでした。

Linux Mint 18 MATE 64bit ではsynapticを起動して　ttf-mscorefonts-installer　　で検索で
チェックを入れてインストールで途中でMSの何かの承諾？が出るのでチェックを入れて
インストール出来ました。たった今です。

Ubuntu　MATE　14.04　64bitをdist-upgradeで16.04にした物はsynapticで見たら既にインストール済みでした。

Ubuntu　16.04派生のKLUE　2.0　64bit　MATEやjackにMATE追加の物もsynapticで見たら既にインストール済みでした。

ホームに隠しフォルダの　.fonts　フォルダ　を作って　その中に　msttcorefonts　フォルダ　を入れたら運が良ければ認識するかも？
msttcorefonts　フォルダはFedora23派生のkorora23で
$ sudo rpm -ivh msttcorefonts-2.5-1.noarch.rpm
でインストールで/usr/share　に有るので管理者権限でUSBメモリにcopyした物。

Linux Mint 18 MATE 64bit 上での ttf-mscorefonts-installer のインストールはできています。
実際、Libreoffice Writer 上ではこれらのフォントは使えてます。

ところが、Firefox に反映されないのです。

残念ですが、~/.fonts に msttcorefonts フォルダを入れてもダメでした。

Ubuntu や Linux Mint の Firefox に問題があるのでしょうか？

同じ問題がおきている人は、私だけなのでしょうか？

Linux Mint 17.2 MATE 64bit でsynapticを起動して　ttf-mscorefonts-installer　をインストールして
synapticで緑色で表示でインストールされたのを確認で、再起動で
Firefoxを起動で　編集＞設定＞コンテンツ＞フォントと配色の詳細設定で　MSのfontは非表示。
Chromiumを起動で　設定＞詳細設定を表示＞ウェブコンテンツでフィントをカスタマイズで　MSのfontは非表示。
Vivaldiを起動で　ツール＞設定＞WEBページ＞デフォルトの文字で　　MSのfontは非表示。

なので、デフォルトの文字をMSのfontにする事はMint17.2　MATE　64bitでも出来ないようです。
私はMSのfontは無くても別に困った事は無いのですが、凝った使用はしてはいませんので。

私も Chromium で試してみましたが、ダメでした。

Firefox のデフォルトの文字を MS の font にするのではなくて、
Firefox で MS の英文フォント（Comic Sans MS Bold）を一部に使った自作のウェブページを表示したいだけなのです。

Arch Linux や CentOS 7 では、フォントをインストールしただけで簡単にできるのに、
デスクトップ用途で大変便利な OS である Linux Mint でできないのはなぜかと疑問に思った次第です。

何とか表示できる方法はないものですかね。

Linux Mint 18 MATE 64bit で
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts/Andale_Mono.ttf　と言う物が存在し
Firedoxの設定で　現在のフォント(D):を　Andale_Mono　にする事は出来ました。
msttcorefonts　フォルダの中の　フォントのファイル毎に設定の必要が有るのか不明です。

＞Libreoffice Writer 上ではこれらのフォントは使えてます。
これも　プロパティ　の下に有る　文字　で　Andale Mono　を選択は出来ました。

後で暇な時にやる気が出れば、CentOS7.x　と　Arch　でどうなのか見てみようと思います。

Arch はインストールが大変なので、 あまりおすすめできません。

CentOS7.x　と　Arch　は既に実機にインストール済みです。
今SSDで起動なので電源OFFでタップSWをOFFにしてSATAのコードとHDD用の電源コードを
付け替える作業が必要です。
